Children and Youth

Children’s Ministries

Children’s Church: Before the sermon each Sunday (except on the first Sunday of the month, when we celebrate Communion together), children are invited to participate in Children’s Church. After the Children’s Message, they may head to a nearby classroom for age-appropriate Bible lessons, music, crafts, games, and other engaging activities while the rest of the congregation continues in worship. Children are always welcome to remain in the sanctuary with their families if they prefer.

Sunday School: Sunday School meets from 10:45–11:30 a.m. each Sunday, September through May, at the same time as our adult Sunday School classes. Children enjoy age-appropriate Bible lessons, activities, and discussions that help them grow in faith while building friendships in a fun and welcoming environment.

Seasonal Activities: Throughout the year, we offer a variety of special events for children and families to enjoy together. From Easter egg hunts and Trunk or Treat to seasonal celebrations, service opportunities, and other family-friendly activities, there’s always something happening at Mountain Vista. Be sure to check our Events Calendar regularly to see what’s coming up—we’d love for you to join us!

Youth Ministries

Worship Leading: We believe youth are an important part of the life of the church today. Young people are invited to serve in worship through Scripture reading, music, technology, greeting, ushering, and other meaningful leadership roles. Learn more about worship leadership roles HERE.

Youth Group: Our youth meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00–7:00 p.m., September through May. Each gathering includes dinner, games, meaningful discussions, and activities designed to help students grow in their faith while building lasting friendships in a welcoming and supportive community.

Youth Activities: Throughout the year, our youth participate in a variety of special activities, including service projects, mission opportunities, and fun events like movie outings, arcade nights, and more. These gatherings provide opportunities for students to grow in faith, serve others, build friendships, and have fun together. Visit our Events Calendar to see upcoming opportunities, or contact our Youth Director to learn more and get involved.

Pinecliff Camp

We are deeply connected to Pinecliff Camp & Retreat Center, a United Methodist camping ministry in Utah. Each summer, Pinecliff offers opportunities for children and youth to grow in faith, build friendships, enjoy the outdoors, and experience God through worship, activities, and community.

Mountain Vista encourages children and youth to participate in Pinecliff’s summer camps, including Elementary Camp and Junior/Senior High Camp. Learn more about upcoming camps, registration, and opportunities to get involved by visiting the Pinecliff Camp website:
